Who are we?
We are a group of motivated PhD students and Master's students at TU Braunschweig who are passionate about mathematics and mechanics. Our goal is to create a strong network, facilitate knowledge exchange, and offer exciting opportunities for academic and professional growth. Through regular activities such as lectures, excursions, and social events, we aim to connect students and researchers in these fields.
In 2023, 11 founding members came together to establish the GAMM junior research group at TU Braunschweig. Our group is one of many research groups that have been formed as part of GAMM (Gesellschaft für angewandte Mathematik und Mechanik) and are supported by it. Since 2024, we have also held the status of a student association at TU Braunschweig, representing our affiliation not only with GAMM but also with TU Braunschweig. To pursue our goals, we not only adhere to the statutes and principles of GAMM but have also established our own statutes during the founding process.
Our members
Currently (April 2025), the junior research group consists of 26 members from 10 different institutes and degree programs. Would you like to become a member of our youth group? Then take a look at the information we’ve provided on this page.

Executive board
The board of the junior research group is responsible for steering the group's direction. With the support of other interested members, it organizes the group's activities. Additionally, it manages memberships within the group and oversees finances. The board is re-elected at the beginning of each new academic year. The board is supported by a mentor from the group of professors.
