In addition to fun activities, academic content must of course not be neglected in a research group like ours. Inspired by the topic suggestions from our members, a series of lectures was organized this year.  

Of course, social activities are also an important part of our junior research group. This semester, we went bouldering together. That afternoon wasn’t just about tiring ourselves out on the climbing wall—it was also a great opportunity for conversations and networking.

This year, the MESIGA (Meeting of the European SIAM and GAMM Student Chapters) took place in Potsdam. Our group was proudly represented by Hannah Burmester at the event.

What are the other members of our youth group actually working on? With this question in mind, we kicked off the afternoon. To learn more about each other's research and the topics covered in our respective degree programs, we organized a poster session followed by a wrap dinner.
