In addition to fun activities, academic content must of course not be neglected in a research group like ours. Inspired by the topic suggestions from our members, a series of lectures was organized this year.
Professor Römer from the Institute of Acoustics and Dynamics kicked things off with an exciting lecture on Uncertainty Quantification. In the second lecture, Professor Wessels from the Institute of Applied Mechanics gave us an introduction to data-driven modeling of mechanical systems. The series concluded with Professor Lagemann from the Institute of Partial Differential Equations, who gave an introduction to mathematical modeling.
