After a year had passed since the initial idea of founding a junior group, we were finally able to celebrate the official completion of our founding process. Over the past year, a lot had happened, and this day was the perfect opportunity to reflect on our journey during a relaxed barbecue gathering.

It all started when a group of PhD candidates and master's students decided to establish the GAMM Junior Research Group at TU Braunschweig. The first step was to prepare all necessary documents and obtain approval from the local GAMM representative. After drafting our own statutes and submitting our application to the GAMM board, the work was far from over. To not only be affiliated with GAMM but also solidify our connection to TU Braunschweig, we officially registered as a student association at the university.

At times, the process was more stressful than it might sound in hindsight, but in the end, everyone was relieved and proud that everything had worked out as planned. To mark this milestone, GAMM sponsored our celebration, and we enjoyed a fantastic barbecue together.

We are excited to have laid the foundation for what we hope will be many years of inspiring collaboration within our youth group!
